In this video I am sharing the best Artifacts that I saw at The Pergamon Museum in Berlin, Germany. During my Tour there.
The video concentrates on two main Civilizations. The Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Persia. And on the Roman Empire with its Amazing Artifacts left in the East during many years of Conquests and Expanding.
The museum has Artifacts from 6000 years timespan of Cultural History from the regions of Mesopotamia, Syria, and Anatolia. the main Collection was found during the Major German excavations in Babylon, Assur, Uruk, and Sam'al.
The main attraction is undoubtedly, The Magnificent Ishtar Gate, with the Blue walls surrounding it. Dating from the time of Nebuchadnezzar the second ( 6th Century BC ).
In this video you will witness the earliest written Document Known to Humankind. Clay tablets dating from the late 4th Millennium BC.
The Greek and Roman Part of the video brings you the Pergamon Altar ( 180-160 BC ). A shining example of Roman Architecture, and The Market Gate of Miletus dating from around 100 AD.
