Today is all about noodles! We’re diving into Shanghai’s legendary noodle scene, starting with probably the most popular noodle shop in Shanghai, Huxi Old Alley Noodles 沪西老弄堂面馆.

Here we tried some epic pork liver and potato noodles as well as the vegetarian 'chicken' and everything was amazing!

We then headed to WEIXIANGZHAI NOODLES 味香斋 for some sesame paste and eel noodles. The eel noodles were incredible but I'm sure we either ordered wrong or were eating the sesame noodles wrong!

Shanghai has completely surprised us in the best way. I expected it to be busy and exciting, but being here has shown me just how special it really is. The city is a perfect mix of old and new, with its impressive skyline of modern buildings and the charming streets of the French Concession. Everywhere you go, there’s a vibrant energy—from the bustling food markets to the stylish restaurants.

What I love most is how Shanghai blends its rich history with modern life. You can visit ancient temples one moment and explore futuristic shopping districts the next. And the food? It’s incredible, with everything from tasty street snacks to high-end dining. Whether you’re here for the culture, food, or just to explore, Shanghai is a fantastic place to visit.
