The Indian Army had pushed back the Pakistani troops from peaks like Tololing, but as July 1999 began, the Khalubar Ridge in the Batalik sector was still in enemy hands. The enemy had turned it into a fortress from where every movement of India could be monitored. After two failed attempts, the 1/11 Gorkha Rifles were sent in for the impossible mission.

Amid freezing winds, vertical cliffs, and nonstop enemy fire, the Gorkhas climbed for 14 hours continuously.. But what happened when they reached the top became a legend of Indian bravery you won’t forget.
