MB Boats Tech Tip: Resetting the Batteries

Описание к видео MB Boats Tech Tip: Resetting the Batteries

As the old IT/Tech saying goes: "Have you tried turning it off and back on?", while it may seem silly, this trick works for boats as well. Since boats are typically controlled through a computer module (PDM - Power Distribution Module) sometimes if things get out of sequence or a bad relay happens, it can affect electrically driven functions.

If you are experiencing a malfunction with a sensor reading, surf system activating, cav plate activating, or cruise control functionality, try resetting your batteries.

It only takes 2-minutes and can save you a lot of time trying to troubleshoot.

Remember, anytime you are starting your boat after having it off for longer than 2 minutes, let it cycle. Turn the key to the accessory position and let the electrical system cycle for 10-15 seconds, then start your boat. This will ensure that all electrical systems have self checked and are operating and the boat is ready to start.
