Nilesh Shah Sees A Big Opportunity In This Sector | Stock Market In 2025

Nilesh Shah shared his insights on Indian market performance in 2024 with NDTV Profit. Amidst uncertain global conditions, Shah emphasized that India continues to make progress. He cautioned against judging portfolio results based on a single year's performance.

"In 2024, small and mid-cap stocks have returned 27%+, while large caps have yielded 16-17% returns, exceeding market expectations," Shah noted. However, he added that predicting traders' success is challenging.

Looking ahead to 2025, Shah described the upcoming year as a "test match" for markets, stressing the importance of focusing on valuation over momentum. When asked about sector performance, Shah predicted significant growth in Automation and Robotics, particularly for companies involved in precision engineering and manufacturing.
