• #PehowaTirth is also known as "#PruthudakTirath or PitrudhakTeerth" is considered as one of the holiest places in India.
• Located in Kurukshetra, Haryana, Pehowa is an important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Sikhs. It is the place where 400 years old Hindu genealogy registers (#BahiKhata) are kept here at Peohwa, Haryana which are maintained here by pandas.
• The Pehowa site is located on the banks of pious river Saraswati plus this site is also related to Krishna and Mahabharata that lies within the 48 Kos Parikrama of Kurukshetra.
• Dating back to the times of Mahabharata, eldest Pandava Yudhishter offered "Pinda Pradhan" to all those people who were killed in the epic battle of Mahabharta. Since then, people from all around the country and even abroad often visit this sacred place to offer "Pinda Pradhan" to their ancestors.
• There is also an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess river Saraswati where people do pind daan.
• There also lies Gurudwara Sheesh Mahal Sahib as many Sikh gurus have been believed to visit this place from time to time.
