Hi #earthbuddies I am Captain Soil (MALEK Khalid). I've started a challenge to run for 1 hour in most cities of Morocco to support the #savesoil movement and raise people's awareness about the dangers of soil extinction and desertification. If we act together we can solve any problem we face. #letsmakeithappen
In this video, I participated in a real running race of 5 km in Casablanca. It was extremely intense for my body, as I lost a big part of my physical strength and stamina because I am working in a job right now and I reduced my training time to 30 minutes per week only, which is not sufficient. But, I did my best and I gave it everything just to support the #savesoil movement and I share this symbolic medal with all of you my friends.

Soil extinction means that soil is loosing its organic content, its richness and becoming sand. Studies are showing that in the last 30 years 80% of the biomass insects have disappeared from the planet. We can say it differently, in the last 30 years soil has lost 80% of its richness. So our food also has lost 80% of its richness and as a consequence of this, our abilities, health and genius are deeply reduced.
