The government plans to raise official real estate prices in highly speculative areas,... effectively raising property taxes as well.
The land ministry is looking to update next year's price list so that apartments and large residential buildings worth 7-hundred-70-thousand U.S. dollars or more would have their official value raised to reflect at least 70 percent of the market price.
The target will be 75 percent for buildings worth more than one-point-two million dollars, and 80 percent for those exceeding two-point-five million.
The higher valuation is expected to substantially raise government revenue from the comprehensive real estate tax rate for those who own more than one property.
