Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the cast of the National Emblem atop the new Parliament building, there has been a controversy over how the lions look. The Opposition has claimed that the new lions on the Emblem look ferocious and different from their original version, but the government has dismissed this, saying that the statue is a “perfect replica” of the original, “except for the size”.
