DIEGO MARADONA Was Already Dominating ENGLAND At 19 Years Of Age! (May 1980)

19 year old Maradona establishing himself as the next big thing in football against a tough English team playing in Wembley, with more than 90.000 souls screaming their lungs out. Even though the Argentinians would lose 3-1, "El Pelusa" would show why he was being compared to legendary Pele, dribbling around defenders and commanding the attack with brilliance. The only goal for the visiting team came via penalty, created by Maradona in an individual effort and scored by captain Passarella.

As an anecdote, some hardcore fans argue that the "no goal" play seen at 02:22 is actually better than the most famous one he would do in the 1986 World Cup game. They claim it's actually harder because of the extremely tight space and how he managed to escape multiple defenders surrounding him. Not that I agree, but in any case, just pointing that out. Food for thought.
