I am obsessed with Descript and what it can help me do with my voiceover work. So I'm evangelizing and I wanted to talk about this process that I've been using on bigger projects. Now, I don't use it on every project because it's not the most time efficient for everything, but in this case, I had a big stack of eight PowerPoint presentations and associated slide audio that I needed to get through and the scripts were not formatted for voiceover, which is what happens 99.9% of the time.

I have ADHD and patience is not a virtue that I have. So what do I do? I cold read my scripts, repeat sentences when I need to change the emphasis on different words and then I use Descript to easily edit out the extra sentences.

This is amazing, especially when I have projects that are due quickly. Most of the time I don't get paid enough on a project to be able to hire an outside editor so Descript is helping me rush through bigger projects on my own with just a monthly flat fee for extra audio transcription time.
