In 1939, Janusz was accused of being a spy by his wife and subsequently sent to a labor camp in a remote part of Siberia. Despite the harsh conditions, Janusz was determined to escape and, with the help of a few fellow prisoners, took advantage of a blizzard to make a break for it. However, their journey to freedom was far from over, as they faced a grueling 4,000-mile trek on foot through the frozen Himalayas.
