Miami Diaper Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps disadvantaged children in South Florida get the diapers they need to be dry, clean and healthy.

Since March 2020, Miami Diaper Bank has been active in COVID-19 relief, getting critical baby essentials to the front lines to serve families and children impacted by the crisis.

1 in 3 US families struggle with diaper need and cannot afford diapers for their children. The Coronavirus crisis has increased the need more than ever and we have seen a 2,700% increase in direct requests for diapers.

For babies, diapers are a basic need. Like food and shelter, clean diapers are required to keep young children healthy and well. Since no state or federal child safety-net program provides support for the purchase of diapers, Miami Diaper Bank fills a gap in services in the community by connecting diapers and baby essentials to vulnerable families, providing immediate relief, while also raising awareness about diaper need in South Florida.

A child needs between 8 and 12 diapers every day to stay dry and healthy. Without an adequate supply of diapers:
Parents without access to clean diapers may leave their child in a dirty diaper all day long or even reuse them.
Dirty diapers can cause painful diaper rash and even more serious problems such as kidney damage.
Parents financial security is at risk as low income families spend up to 14% of their after-tax income on diapers.
Daycare centers require parents to provide diapers for their child to attend, causing a strain on low-earning essential workers.

Miami Diaper Bank serves thousands of children every year, across six South Florida counties including, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Lee, Collier and Monroe.
