November 13. We left our rental car at Pine TH and got a shuttle back north to make up the section we’d skipped on the way down. No one had signed the log book in a few days. The snow had melted and it was a sunny morning. There was a lot of open forest and quasi-road walking which made for easy miles for much of the day. We saw a few groups of elk, but didn’t capture them on camera. We didn’t see any other AZT hikers, but chatted with husband of a section hiker and saw a few day hikers around the Washington Park TH. We ended up pushing into dark to find a good campsite.
