How To Play Spite and Malice

Описание к видео How To Play Spite and Malice

BIG NOTE since this video continues to get a lot of views daily, 6+ years after upload.
This video was made purely based off of the rules played by my family. Use sparingly. Also, know that this video was made by a child with only semi-decent knowledge of the game for a speech class in their freshman year of high school. As I said, don't get mad when the rules I mention in this video don't seem completely accurate, they probably weren't. I've watched this video back in recent (to remind myself of how to play the game, since I haven't in years now that I'm more adult-like, don't live at home, and don't have much time for time consuming card games as often as I did when I made this video), and realize that there are some changes I would make now.
1. apologies on the LOUD audio. I too lost ear function upon watching this video, especially the annoying opening song thing provided by none other than iMovie. Also apologies for the cringe of me speaking at the beginning. skip to 1:15 for the actual instruction on the game. and for the instructions at the beginning being very fast paced. I think I had a time limit for how long the video could be.
2. You do not have to play the game with a deck of cards per person playing. That was just me trying to make it less complicated to explain. You do need at least 2 decks, 3 when more than like 3 people are playing at the same time. Add decks as you feel it needs but if you're playing with 6 players, no you do not need 6 decks of cards.
3. There's a few comments saying that you play it that aces aren't required to be played upon getting them, and this is a case of just what my family does when playing it. We do it to keep the game moving.
4. I definitely suggest not doing what I did in the video in that I played a card from discard before a card from my pile. As soon as you can play the card in the pile, do so. Because you will never know what is below the card in the pile until you play that one, and it could be the card you just played. I screwed myself over in the video by doing this, because after the 7 was a queen, and I could've played that if I didn't play the discarded one first.
5. Big apologies for the cringe acting of me and my mom, she was never cut out to be an actress. Also, I looked right at the mistake I made. Cringe.
Alright, there's my note. Maybe that clears something up, but this note will probably just be another thing for me to find and cringe at in another 6 years.
(screams) Have fun playing Spite and Malice!
