Описание к видео THE MESSIAH Händel / Handel, Part 2 / 9: Choir "Let all the Angels of God". Period Instruments

AN ATTEMPT TO PERFORM "THE MESSIAH" IN EVERY DETAIL EXACTLY AS HANDEL DID IT HIMSELF.
Part the Second: "Let all the angels of God worship Him" (Choir).
Conductor: Ole Irenæus Wierød
Soprano I: Inger Wierød
Soprano II: Anna Maria Antonius Wierød (15 years at the time!)
Alto: Henning Voss
Tenor: Jan Lund
Bass: Ulrik Cold
The soloists also sing in the Chorus (as they did in Handel's performances)
The Baroque-Choir KAMMA
Orchestra: handpicked musicians fom 12 different countries (!)
Recording & technique: Morten Kold
After YEARS of intensive studies I in the year 2000 dared to make this performance of "The Messiah", in which everything is exactly, as Händel made it at his performances: the same size of orchestra (of course playing on period instruments) and choir, the same tuning/temperature, the same tempi in all movements, the same articulation, frasing a.s.o.; even the pronunciation of the English text is as English was spoken in 1740-1750! (There are LOTS of literature from the period, in which it down to the most tiny details is described, how Händel performed "The Messiah" -- and how English was pronounced about 1750!). Soloists, choir and orchestra are all instructed by the conductor, and there were MANY more hours of rehearsal, than normally before such a performance.
Rehearsals and performances: summer 2000, recorded in Odense Cathedral, Denmark.
Performed according to the rules of musical rhetorics.
