Le 28 juillet 2023 à Fukuoka, Léon Marchand (4ème relayeur) part en 6ème position. En 1'44.89 lancé, il ramène la France à la 4ème place, prometteur pour l'an prochain à Paris 2024 ! Son temps lancé permet d'espérer pour très bentôt un chrono sous les 1'46. Si un ou deux autres français se rapprochent des 1'46, une médaille de bronze devient envisageable aux JO.

On July 28, 2023 in Fukuoka, Léon Marchand (4th relay runner) started in 6th position. In a time of 1'44.89 (flying start), he took France back to 4th place, a promising result for next year in Paris 2024! His flying time gives us hope of a sub-1'46 time very soon. If one or two other French swimmers come close to the 1'46 mark, a bronze medal at the Olympics becomes a real possibility.
