Hello my friends!
It has been a few months since I've posted but thought I would share more about a topic some of my friends have asked me to expand upon--my scarf collection! This is a favorite topic of mine to watch/learn more about, and I'd love to hear from you, especially if you collect and/or wear scarves. I have been collecting scarves since I was in my late teens, and started by finding them on the cheap, mostly from thrift stores, and $1 + $2 bins at antique stores. Most of my favorites are silk, but some are rayon, cotton, acetate, etc. As I've gotten older and travelled I've also splurged on a few investment or "luxury" brands. I wear the heck out of the majority of my scarves, no matter the value, and tend to seek those with really vibrant graphics and colors. I wear them as accessories around my neck, tied in my hair, as a necklace or bracelet, as sarongs--just about any way I can dream up. Today I am sharing my collection which includes vintage travel scarves from the 1920s-60s, cheap thrills from Monoprix, thrift + antique stores, consignment shops, Target, TJMaxx, local joints to destinations in France, where many scarves are made. Brands include: Celine, Nanette Lepore, Hermes, Nina Ricci, Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Carlos Falchi, Rochas, Kate Spade, Fragonard, Custo Barcelona, Dana Buchman, Lanvin, Adrienne Vittadini, Vera, Echo, Moschino, Franz Molenaar, Cacharel's Lou Lou, Bob Mackie, Perry Ellis, and Anne Klein. I love + wear all sizes, from handkerchiefs + pocket squares, to hair scarves, to giant shawls + sarongs.
I've purchased these over 30+ years and have also been lucky to have been gifted an incredible assortment through my sister Leigh and my friend Sarah! I also want to share with you some of my favorite scarf sellers, below (no promos, all purchased):
