KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has decided to start the upcoming academic session 2025 from April 1, and has reduced the syllabus for the current session by 25%.

👉Key Changes to the Academic Calendar
Examinations:👈
Annual exams for matriculation, intermediate, and classes 1–8 will be conducted based on only 75% of the syllabus.
Exams for grades 4–8 are scheduled from March 1 to March 15.
Matriculation exams will commence on March 15, and intermediate exams will start on April 15.
Admissions:
Class 9 admissions will run from March 1 to March 31, with classes starting from April 1.
Intermediate first-year admissions will be managed by the central admission committee starting June 1.
Result Announcements:
Matric results will be declared by July 15, and intermediate results by August 15.
Results for classes 9 and 11 will be announced within 60 days of the release of results for classes 10 and 12.
Holidays:
Summer holidays: June 1 to July 31.
Winter holidays: December 22 to December 31 (revised).
