Systems analysis and design is the process through which a systems analyst studies the existing system within the organization in order to identify its needs and problems, establish whether they can be solved through automation and then develops a detailed description of how the new system will look like, what it will require and how it will work. This presentation is therefore part one of a two-part series of presentations on the Introduction to Systems Analysis and Design topic. It focuses on the definition of concepts in Systems Analysis and Design, Procedure of establishing system requirements (systems analysis), System design process, and System development (construction/coding) process.
