Call of the North - Wind Ensemble [Original Piece]

The music of this 3-part wind ensemble symphony is inspired by the beauty and majesty of the mountains of Iceland. Featuring ice cold melodies and triumphant themes, this piece is sure to transport your audience from their seats to the snow tipped mountains.




Writer's note: while inspired by terrain of Iceland, this piece is dedicated to a friend who recently lost to illness. The title 'Call of the North' is in reality referring to one's death. The 'call' here being their time to die, and 'North' referring to a better place, or on other words, heaven. This particular friend whom this piece is written about, had always wanted to visit Iceland, but unfortunately was never able to, being moved by their death, I did my best to replicate the landscapes of Iceland for them the only way I knew how to.
