The story of Cornelius, a Roman centurion in Caesarea, is found in Acts Chapter 10 of the Bible. He was a devout, God-fearing man who prayed and gave generously to the poor. After a vision where an angel told him God heard his prayers and to send for Peter, he did so. Simultaneously, Peter had a vision that taught him God had no partiality and that what He had cleansed was not to be called unclean. When Peter met Cornelius, he understood God's message: salvation through Jesus was for all people, not just the Jews. The Holy Spirit then descended on Cornelius and his household as Peter taught them, and they were subsequently baptized
