Trying to reduce our food bill | £81 ALDI Food Shop

This month I’ve been assessing my shopping habits to see whether this move alone will reduce my monthly spend on food. I don’t usually have a food budget but this year I’ve noticed that we are spending at least £600 per month on groceries. So during April I’m trying to stick to £500 tops.
We are a household of 5; 2 adults, 2 teens plus 1 ten year old. Whilst I don’t think that £600 is astronomical I’m wondering whether I’ll be able to make the changes without my family realising.
