Happy New Year, folks! I hope you had a good Festive and New Year?
I'm raring to go for 2026 and can't wait to get started, again! 2025 was an OK year, dominated mostly by off-the-bike things. I'm hoping this year, however will see me getting back to my best and competing at the top level on Zwift once again.

I'm going to kick off 2026 with the Official Zwift Epic Race - a long, 57.8km route around the Bologna Time Trial Course. I've not done this event before and cannot seem to quite make sense of how this will be laid out. According to Zwift Insider this route is only 8km in length, so does that mean we're doing 7 laps plus a bit of a lead in?

Either way, it's going to be long and attritional. Fuelling and hydration starts early in the day for this one.
