Over the years, The SCL has found that when we have had the opportunity to explain our working process to those outside our business, including politicians, copyright professionals, and those beginning their careers in the entertainment industry, there has been a real lack of understanding of what it takes for a composer to make a living. We are hoping this overview will provide an inkling of the issues that we face professionally.
