Hey everyone, today's video is on Conan O'Brien and the Late Night Wars between him and Jay Leno that took place in 2009 and 2010. Towards the end of Conan's tenure on Late Night he talked himself into a lucrative deal by extending his contract and also obtaining The Tonight Show after jay leno's tenure concluded in 2009. Despite Conan getting the Tonight Show and Jay Leno getting his own show titled The Jay Leno show, NBC would flip flop once ratings came in and they realized both shows were not performing as they had hoped. Instead of giving Conan a chance to get back on his feet, they made the rash decision of moving Conan's Tonight Show later past midnight and moving Jay Leno's show into the spot where The Tonight Show used to be. This led to a crazy conflict that is considered to be one of the biggest mistakes in Late Night History.
