Hey all! This week's D1 nightfall is the Dust Palace, with the modifiers of Void Burn, Specialist, Berserk, and Ironclad. I'm running a Defender Titan with the Dark-Drinker here, so I can take out all three Flayers at once and have a bubble for protection if needed, ...and it was.

Rewards: 7:50

This is the strictly Cabal and Vex version of the strike, so despite having Berserk and Ironclad on, it's not nearly as bad as you might think it is thanks to a relatively easy enemy layout. I ran this nightfall twice, once with a sniper, and then this run with a fusion rifle, and fusion is definitely the way to go this week. It's excellent at cutting through any shield type. In the opening bit, you've got some adds, then a major Psion to unlock the door. In the next area, it's another locked door, followed by more waves of adds. They are predictable where they spawn in, so that's not too big of a problem either. You'll have another major Psion to finish out this part, then it's on to the final stretch before the boss fight.

Once you're upstairs, it's more Cabal and Vex, then Cabal as you're unlocking the door up here. There's also a final major Psion to take out before facing the Flayers. Usually it all comes down to the modifiers for this battle. Sometimes you need to do it the hard way, but this week can be a quick one if you're using the sword. There's a little RNG involved too, depending on how the Flayers want to move around and attack you, but if you're quick, you can take out all three before the first wave of adds start overwhelming you. A Titan bubble is excellent here, of course, and possibly a Helm of Saint-14 as well, if you have the exotic armor spot open. Overall though, a pretty simple week (especially if you've got the sword setup for it).
