Unboxing the illustrated edition of The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, as published by LitJoy Crate.

I recorded this a few days back when the book was still on LitJoy's website. However, it appears that they have cut ties with Neil Gaiman, with no traces of any of the three illustrated editions being left on their website.

As I tried to say in the video in my incoherent manner, it is absolutely horrible for any victims of assault or sexual assault. Whether or not things were truly consensual at the time, it will always be inappropriate to have relations in an employer/employee dynamic.

I fully understand LitJoy not continuing on with further Gaiman titles; Neverwhere has been cancelled. But it is also a shame that they've completely disowned the previous titles, to the point where they are supposedly deleting posts about them from their Facebook group. Two of the three titles were already sold out, and they should still take pride in the quality of their publications, even if they were to put a blurb on their site condoning Gaiman as an author. They've instead gone the route of cutting all ties with the titles and pretending that they don't exist. It's their decision though, in the end!
