Breaking Scrabble's Golden Endgame Rule

Watching champions Josh Sokol and Jackson Smylie is always a treat for any Scrabble fan, but they recently played a game that showcased a completely new endgame concept to me. I was commentating the game and I had NO CLUE what was happening in the moment!
