00:00 Weekly update and news
00 greg preston: Any news on the classes? I'm really interested in seeing how they work out.
00 A2woodArt: What a "quick" timber framing project can I test my new framing chisel? Or can you talk about differences (in uses) between slicks and framing chisels?
00 A2woodArt:2 is it bad to use diamond stones to sharpen "chefs knifes"? All videos I saw show a fancy setup with stones, and I am unsure if I destroyed something.
00 Warren Munn: Sorta, kinda off topic, but it's for my Mitre Saw; I need to repair the top of a casting, just a thin strip, then shape; what doesn't JB Weld stick to? I do not have the broken piece, I need to recreate
00 Dad Gamet: Project idea...... Coffee Grinder..... thoughts?

00 Alex Adams - Type A Woodworking: What was the highlight of WorkbenchCon?
00 Dale Patton: Any progress on the name change?
00 I aAndy Puttbach: I made a Roubo saw out of a frame saw blade from Highland woodworking. I am having problems with making straight rip cuts. Do you have any tips on using them?
00 DrKahnihoochima: What can you currently reach that would make the best self-defense weapon?
00 Dennis Meko: How sharp do you make a slick?
00 Alex Adams - Type A Woodworking: About how heavy is James’ bench now that he’s added the pattern maker vise?
00 Eric Martin: I just got some new Narex mortise chisels. Is there anything special I need to do to prepare them for use other than an initial honing?
00 ®️yan: apropos of nothing (def not based on a rob cosman vid) what are your favorite woods to use... starting with #2?
00 Dad Gamet: I picked up a Frame Makers Guillotine yesterday for $15, it is pretty sharp but as it dulls how would I go about sharpening it? What would you use it for beyond frames?
00 Alex Adams - Type A Woodworking: Has James ever used the mortise chisels from Tools For Working Wood, and are they worth it? (I think Ashley Isles is the brand)
00 Hauptmann6: Who's or where to get the best plans for a traditional English jointers bench
00 Ken Carlile: If you need to fill out the list: Is a #2 useful for adult hands?
00 Tim Jones: On my Stanley router plane, if I register off one side, I can get a few more shavings than the other side. Do I need to flatten the sole or check to see if the iron is parallel to the sole?
00 Michael Scott: Would you recommend a hands-on teaching/sharpening class? I have only been watching youtube videos and have gotten better, but I am worried that I am using bad techniques or habits & repeating them.
00 Pit Snipe: When it comes to working with pine, what recommendations do you have besides not using it?
00 Ed Kowalczyk: Had an ice storm and salvaged some maple; I cut it to 24 inches and split it for turning on the lathe. What can I do to promote Spalding during drying?
00 Cary Wiedman: Speaking of hard south American woods, I'm making an 8' by 3' table out of sucupira. It's 3 boards already glued up, and now I'm trying to get it flat. I have Stanley #5 and #8 planes, but getting tear out. It's kind of strange tear out where, like every other row of grain, seems to pull out deeper than the surface, while every other cuts flat. Any suggestions? Plane not sharp enough?
00 Alex Adams - Type A Woodworking: Did James work with lignum vitae much, or was that just for his chisel test?
00 Ken Carlile: Any news on the marking knife project (replicating your favorite one)?
