he 15.6" ThinkPad P52 Mobile Workstation from Lenovo is created for designers, engineers, and artists who require the power of a workstation with laptop mobility. It's powered by a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-8750H Six-Core processor, 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics card. Thanks to its dedicated GPU, this system can handle creating, editing, and experiencing 3D and VR content. For storage, it's equipped with a 512GB PCIe NVMe Opal 2 SSD. If you need more space, you can connect external storage solutions using its three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 3 / USB Type-C ports, and media card reader that supports UHS-II SD/SDHC/SDXC and MMC cards. The P52's storage can also be expanded internally, as there are a total of three drive bays - two NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 and one SATA III 2.5" / 7mm.

Its 15.6" display features a 1920 x 1080 resolution and is built with an anti-glare IPS panel to deliver wide viewing angles of 160°/160°, a brightness of 300 cd/m2, and vivid colors. Moreover, the ThinkPad P52 has HDMI 2.0 and mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs you can use with a separate display for larger viewing. It can connect to the internet wirelessly using dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) or its Gigabit Ethernet port for a more stable and reliable connection. Additionally, it has Bluetooth 5.0 built-in, which lets you pair compatible wireless peripherals to free up its USB ports for more important devices. Other integrated features include a 720p webcam, dual-array microphones, two 2W speakers with Dolby Audio Premium, a backlit keyboard, and a combo audio jack. Its 6-cell / 90Wh battery will last for up to 6.1 hours when running discrete graphics or up to 8.9 hours with hybrid graphics, or use the included 170W AC adapter for continuous power while plugged in. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Pro (64-Bit).

General Features
VR Ready
Equipped with an NVIDIA Quadro-series graphics card, this system can tackle graphically demanding tasks such as creating and experiencing 3D and VR content.
Security
For your protection, the P52 encrypts your data with TPM, secures access with an integrated fingerprint reader, and lets you login with Windows Hello on models with the optional IR camera. Additionally, it has an integrated webcam privacy cover for additional security.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Audio
The ThinkPad P52 is engineered with Dolby Atmos audio for headphones, so you can enjoy an enhanced listening experience for music, meetings, movies, and more.
Windows 10 Pro
Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
