How Black Panther Brilliantly Defines Cultural & Racial Identity

Black Panther (2018) is one of the highest grossing movies of all time, as well as one of the highest grossing marvel movies around. There are a thousand videos all over YouTube analyzing this movie to all end, talking about how Killmonger is the best villain, how brilliantly Ryan Coogler directed Black Panther, how Black Panther bplays into the MCU, all sorts of stuff.

But for some reason or another, there doesn't seem to be anyone talking about one aspect of this film that is one of, if not the, most pervasive theme throughout it: How Black Panther Brilliantly Defines Cultural Identity and Racial Identity. The concepts of cultural identity vs racial identity are ponderous and there are entire graduate level courses which barely scratch the surface of their intricacies, but in video essay, I want to talk about this obvious aspect that FOR SOME REASON, nobody else on YouTube has talked about. Weird.
