Colour Shift Wood Grain Technique Tutorial

So today we're going to do a quick and simple design. I mean it requires a bit of technique not for it's kind of cool. So we're going to do it anyway.

So I am using Aleana Hand, she has come out to play.

we're going to use the base coat. Now the base coat is going to give you maximum adhesion. It would help if you barely had any. So you need to splay the brush and let that go on super, super thin And then we're going to cure that for 30s.

And I'm going to use two colours today that are from a brand-new collection that I absolutely love. We're going to use these two colors so New York by day and L.A. by night.

I'm going to use a fade brush as well in this design, which is our ombré brush. So it's dense at the bottom. And then you've got these feather-like tiny bristles at the top which can help you create a ombré. So I will show you the ombré. I'm here and I'm going to use the L.A. colour at the top. And I'm going to bring this down about halfway then I’ll cure that and move across to New York by night and I’ll do two coats of each of those.

Then I’m going to mix some Acrygel with some topcoat I’m using my spatula to mix that up and then spend that across the nail then I can use my Pammy Picker upper and score some texture into the paste and I'll cure that.

Now I'll use my chrome with a Rubber Dubber and I'll use the reverse side to remove any excess then I can use the base coat to fill in the spaces left by scoring I'll cure that and then finish this design off with a layer of topcoat and that's it!
