Scalp Salad | The Mermen Cover

Still having fun with the Copicat on this one.
The preamp of the Copicat is almost maxed out for a bit of drive, with heads 2 & 3 selected, then into a Caline 10 band EQ with a 'smile' setting, then into my Vox AC4TV with Weber 10 inch Blue Pup and a 12AT7 in the preamp.
The Overdrive pedal I step on is an 80's Pearl OD-05 which has not one, but two of the fabled JRC4558 chips inside!!
It has more control of the mid-hump frequency you get with a normal Tubescreamer in that you can dial in the exact frequency you wish to boost, then also add gain to that frequency, amount of overall overdrive and then level. A very much underrated pedal in my opinion.
The guitar is a Vintage (brand) V6 Icon with stock Wilkinson Pickups which are superb.
The few mods I've done to the guitar are a brass trem block, roller string tree, CTS pots, Oak Grigsby 5 way switch, Sprague Orange Drop cap, a treble bleed on the volume pot and a black scratchplate.
The backing track was the original tune loaded into JamVox to remove the guitar, then put into Logic and EQ'd to bring back some of the lost frequencies. It's not perfect, but I couldn't find a backing track to this song!
I hope you like this tune as The Mermen are a great band.
Cheers.
