The Chester Millennium Greenway is a 10 mile cycleway following the path of the old railway line from Hawarden Bridge to Mickle Trafford that was closed in the 1960s. The route starts at Connah’s Quay crossing the River Dee and passes by or through Shotton Steel Works, Deeside, Sealand, Blacon, Chester, Newton, Hoole, Guilden Sutton, before reaching Mickle Trafford. The Welsh-English Border is crossed just before Blacon.
This video consists of about 900 still photographs taken along this pathway at roughly 20 metre intervals. The video starts at Shotton Station, about 300 metres before the beginning of the Greenway, and ends outside the coffee shop at Meadow Lea Farm at Mickle Trafford, about 200 metres from the end of the Greenway.
At the end of the video there are maps of the route and along the way there is music by Ralph Vaughan Williams!
