PC Build Delayed Due To Ryzen 5000 X570 USB Error | January Update | Plans For 2022

January has been a slower month on the channel while I've been completely wrapped up with a PC build project I've been piecing together since early November. So, let's talk about what's new!

My goal in 2022 is to create more content and break outside of my comfort zone a little bit more. That means engaging more with candid style video productions such as this one to allow you all to get to know me a little more than just the products I review, showcase, or unbox. Truthfully, I don't know why I didn't start this earlier as this type of content is some of the most-watched content I look for from my favorite creators like Bitwit, Peter Mckinnon, JackSepticeye, and other creators from various genres.

So, onto the video. What a pain in the ass it has been to have my board fail. I'm still not sure if it is the board or the processor; however, I have had a couple of enthusiasts speak up and mentioned they also felt it was the board, so that is where we are going to start. Aside from the USB issue, everything else works extraordinarily well! I ran a Cinebench R23 and it easily surpassed my previous builds score by a little over double in both single-core and multi-core performance. I'm very eager to see how well it edits, as that was the major issue I was having with my 2700X build, which forced me back and forth between my laptop and my desktop depending on the task I was looking to perform.

Aside from the board, I hope to also source an RTX 3070 or 3080 sometime in the new year. I have both the PS5 and Series X as my main gaming devices; however, I would love the headroom to jump back into VR and start playing more PC games, which was something again my previous PC was not doing very well for me.
