Mahima dharma : Mahima dharma is the basic religion of Odisha. It has it's own religion. Mahima dharma first appeared in the early Of nineteenth century and the founder of Mahima Dharma was Mahima Gosain.
when the common man was suffering a lot of pain at that time the superstition and misbehavior were Weighing down to the world. At that time this religion was invented. This religion showed the common and neglected man the way of liberation.
The god of the void revealed himself as Mahima Swami. The glory of this religion spread in odisha and outside odisha.

Mahima Dharma says that God is one and Unique. olekh parambrahma is the empty man and the creater of the world .
The Supreme soul mahima gosai came down from the great void and preached the bhakti dharma Which became famous as " Mahima dharma " .
The center stage of Mahima Dharma is
joronda Mahima Gadi..

Joronda Gadi is a temple built in a location
where three villages meet : Jaranda, Natima and patna .
In 1826 , Mahima Swami appeared as Dhulia Gosai the Bododando puri .
From Puri Mahima Swami moved to Khandigiri, dhauligiri etc near Bhubaneswar.
During that period Swami lived on water alone for twelve years.And people used to call him "Nirahari Gosai "
In 1838 Mahima Swami moved to Kapilash hill of Dhenkanal District for twentyfour years.

A tribal sadananda of nearby Deogram village,witnessed the magnificent atmo jogo samadhi of Swami and Served him fruits for twelve years during the stay of Swami at kapilash hill . For this Swami came to be known as "Phalahari Gosain "

The next twelve years Swami survived on cow's milk alone, rendered as service by the ruler of Dhenkanal King Bhagirathi Mahendra Bahadur and the Swami Came to be known as "Khirahari Gosain ".

The temple is dedicated to the
Supreme Lord. The followers of mahima dharma worship him as sunya brahma or the
shapeless Lord. No idol worship is permitted in this sect. The temple is dedicated to the Supreme Lord . Many people of the sects believe that the followers Of this sect worship Surya, the sun god, but it is absolutely false. They just pray to Supreme Lord facing to the direction of Surya because it fixes the direction of concentration .

In 1876 Mahima dharma was propagated on the 10th day of phalguno sukhlopakhya..on this day Mahima Swami disappeared in the void..
The place where mahima Swami disappeared is called "Mahima Gadi "

In memory of mahima Swami a fair is held here every year on the day of magho Purnima is called Magho Mela/jaranda Mela
