After testing the Honda Civic Type-R last year and coming to a very controversial conclusion, we are back to retest the Type-R while pitting it against its more luxurious brother: The Acura Integra Type-S! While both the Civic Type-R and Integra Type-S share the same 2.0L Turbo inline 4 (315 hp in the Civic, 320 hp in the Integra) and the glorious 6-speed manual, both offer a different set of personalities for buyers to choose from... if you can get either of these at your local dealer that is.

With a price different of around $6,000, the Integra Type-S has to prove that it is worth the extra cash when compared to the Civic Type-R. To evaluate that, we take both super hot hatches out on the twisty roads and compare their driving dynamics, exterior and interior styling, and daily practicality.
