Probably due to my frequent visits to coffee producing communities, many people ask me about climate change and its effect on the production of coffee. So I have realized that I never have a short answer and I am also not a person qualified to talk about it. I also have many questions about the topic myself, and even though I have to tried inform myself as best as possible, I realize that it's a complicated subject, with many angles, including those that are controversial.

Here I present you with an interview I did with Anabella Meneses in Acatanango, Guatemala, who shared with me her opinions, and from her point of view, what are the most significant factors in this harvest cycle that are affecting the productivity of coffee in her country.

My hope with this video is to help bring new voices, that are sometimes not sufficiently heard or valued, but they have a vested interest in finding viable and adequate solutions for all of the actors who depend and live off the income generated by the coffee industry.
