A couple of months ago the U.K. government cancelled a large part of the country's current high speed rail project - but why did this happen? and is there anything that can be done to still make HS2 a reailty?

The railroad was invented in Great Britain, and the nation does have an impressive network of railway lines. However, these lines are getting old, and serious improvements are needed to meet the demands of the 21st century.

This was where HS2 was supposed to come in - it would add a new high speed rail connection from London, up to cities in the North of England like Manchester and Leeds - but with the canellation it will now only run as far North as Birmingham.

So in this video I'm going to look at the state of high speed rail in th UK, how HS2 was supposed to improve it, and where it went so wrong. I'll also look at the current efforts to revive the troubled project!
