The artist's comments on this comic: "This one was inspired by (even if it doesn’t strictly follows) @zeezeepearl’s Fishbones AU, where Undyne is the adoptive sister of the skelebros. This is honestly becoming one of my favorite concepts since Undyne’s personality would add so many interesting dynamics to the skeleton family. Really, just think of Gaster dealing with these three at the same time and try not to smile.

I have no excuse for the characterization, I just really wanted to try a cocky teenager Sans and draw Undyne and Papyrus roleplaying as royal guards because the idea was too adorable to let [it] pass. Also, of course I added a young Toriel to the mix and of course I hinted at a Soriel crush, what do you think I am, some kind of non-obsessed shipper?"
