That "Teaching Gap" When Applying to a Faculty Position

Truth be told, PhD and Postdoc positions are mostly research-focused, so they are quite limited in terms of developing teaching experience.

Applying to faculty positions is the "next step" for PhD and postdocs, so the writing of a Teaching Philosophy is a dreadful process. It is indeed quite hard to imagine ourselves in a teaching-heavy position, taking full responsibility for a University course.
