Our Story
It all began with the Chocolate Storybook, a beloved local shop founded in 1986, known for its fine chocolates and strong roots in Des Moines, Iowa. But the real twist in our journey happened in 2013 when owners Steve and Meg Shearer took a sweet leap of faith! 🍫

After purchasing a company that made the beloved wax-wrapped caramels, they found themselves with an unexpected surprise—20 commercial cotton candy machines! Steve wanted to sell them all, but Meg saw something special. They compromised (as good couples do 😉) and kept 10 machines.

Meg spent the next four years experimenting with flavors, perfecting both classic and all-natural combinations to create the variety you see today. Now, we offer 50+ flavors of gourmet cotton candy, winning over thousands of new fans and turning cotton candy into an everyday delight! 🌈💖
