Basic English Grammar - Correct use of “To” | Use of "To" in English | To का प्रयोग English मे कैसे करते हैं | Basic English Grammar in Hindi.
Q.1. To का प्रयोग Object से पहले कब करते हैं?
Q.2. यदि वाक्य में तीन object हों तो to का प्रयोग कहाँ करें?
There are two kinds of Obj – 1 Direct Obj. and Indirect Obj.
1. Direct object = non-living things जैसे - (book, table, chair, mobile, pen etc.)
What (क्या) से सवाल करने पर जो जवाब आएगा वह Direct object होता है।
जैसे - She lent me her bicycle. उसने मुझे अपनी साइकिल उधार दी।
Q. What did she lend me? उसने मुझे क्या उधार दिया?
Ans. Her bicycle. (Direct object)

2. Indirect object = living मतलब जिसमें जान हो जैसे - (me, you, us, him, her, them, Ram etc.)
To whom (किसको / किसके लिए) से सवाल करने पर जो जवाब आएगा वह Indirect object होता है।
जैसे- She lent her bicycle to me. उसने अपनी साइकिल मुझे उधार दी।
Q. To whom did she lend her bicycle? उसने अपनी साइकिल किसको उधार दी?
Ans. Me (Indirect obj)

When to use “To” in English?
Answer – look at these sentences
He believes me. (“me” is an indirect object)
I eat burger. (“burger” is a direct object)
There is no need to use “To” in these sentences.
Why?
Look at both the sentences below.
He believes me. (“me” is an indirect object)
I eat burger. (“burger” is a direct object)
If there is only one object in the sentence, there is no need to use "To".
Ok got it, if there is an object in the sentence then we will not use “To”
Viewers - Hello stop. We are confused.
Look at these sentences
He talked to me.
We came to him.
He rude to her.
There is only one object in every sentence, why do we use "To" before the object.
Answer – “To” is also a preposition. We also use “To” to show direction.
She went to school. (direction)
We came to him. (direction)
He talked to me.
He rude to her.

But what to do if there are 2 obj in a sentence. Then we can use “To” before object.
Answer – No/ Yes
Look at both the sentences below.
1. She lent me her bicycle.
2. She lent her bicycle to me.
Sentence no.1 [ “me” is an indirect obj + “her bicycle” is a direct obj.]
Easily understand [ indirect obj + direct obj] there is no need to use “To”
Sentence no.2 [ direct obj + to + indirect obj]
