Here is a compact saw with Auto Shut Off. Proven design purchased from http://myfordboy.blogspot.co.uk/p/com

The design requires a lathe and milling machine, but with a few changes, it can be entirely build with a Shapeoko Bench Top CNC (less one part ((threaded rod for the vise)), which I used my Electric drill and a cut-off grinder to made)
