I hope you all have been enjoying the 2023 megamix! I'm finally presenting the instrumental version of the mix so you can listen to it in more details! If you still haven't watch the 2023 megamix, you can watch it here:    • 2023 K-POP MEGA MASH-UP : TASTY 2023 ...  

I had a lot of fun working on the instrumental of this mix especially since I kinda had a clear vision of what I wanted. It really helped me to have a clear theme with clear chapters so I could search for insts that had the mood I was looking for. But at the same time, I went with a lot insts that piqued my interest. I think the chapters that I had some difficulty choosing insts were the 'Spicy' one and the final chapter. I had the main ideas set, but I had to some digging to find other interesting insts that could go along with the bases I found. Also, there were a lot of songs added last minute to the inst cuz I couldn't find a place for vocal samples so I just added them as insts (like TAEYONG's 'SHALALA' & Kim jae Hwan's 'Lucky!')

I think the 'Salty' chapter was the section that was completed the quickest cuz I had a really clear vision of what I wanted (probably why it's my favorite lmao). There were a lot of changes too to a lot of chapters like the final chapter, the 'Sweet' one & the 'Spicy' one! But I had fun trying to figure out a structure for all of these chapters. Also, there's a lot of parts that were sadly cut out cuz of time constraint and other reasons. The bridge of Red Velvet's 'Chill Kill' was supposed to appear in the 'Sour' chapter, but got cut. Also, there was supposed to be a 'Bittersweet' chapter after 'Bitter' with TNX's 'Kick It 4 Now', VICNE's 'GET OUT' & NMIXX's 'Love Me Like This', but I felt like it made the mix too long and wasn't adding much to the mix. Also, I feel the transitions were the parts that changed the most as I was struggling a lot to have something smooth to go from one chapter to another one. I went through so many exports especially for the transition towards the 'Spicy' chapter. Anyway, it's just to say that a lot of work and effort went through the process of this mix and I really hope you enjoy it! :D

NOTE: Some kicks, cymbals, swells and a lot of sound effects were added to the instrumental mix to enhance some parts or smooth out some transitions!

For this video, I changed a little bit the template I usually have. I wanted to display the songs more vertically so I can go a little bit more in details in presenting the instrumental samples that were used. I hope you like the new editing! :D
