Immigration attorney explains why it’s illegal to use the military for mass deportations

Donald Trump announced he plans to carry out mass deportations during his time in office using local law enforcement, federal agencies and even the military. Law experts said using the military could bring a lot of challenges.

Law Professor at St Mary’s University, Jeff Addicott says although the president does have authority to order mass deportations, using the military to directly carry out those orders can be much more complicated.
