Formerly incarcerated individuals in general, and people sentenced as children in particular, are faced with many challenges living as adults in free society. They must navigate daily living in the 21st century without the benefit of experience that comes with growing through adolescence and into adulthood outside of confinement. Through our Community Prosperity Initiative, we aim to provide opportunities for businesses and corporations to help mitigate these critical issues in ways that enhance business value, align with stakeholder goals, and meet social responsibility objectives. We seek diverse partnerships that together will allow us to provide formerly incarcerated individuals access to a wide range of services and resources. There are many ways to be an active partner, and we are always open to other creative ideas we may not have thought of!

The Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth (CFSY) is a nonprofit that leads efforts to ban life without parole and other extreme sentences for children who cause harm; advancing alternative responses that focus on their unique characteristics as children, including their capacity for change; and creating opportunities for formerly incarcerated youth to thrive as adults and lead in their communities.
