Personal Avatar - Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

Come learn how to easily draw one of those personal avatars that you see on every website these days. We'll start with basic shapes and then mold them into the right proportions to make the upper body of a man. It's a really easy way of drawing a person, or at least half of one. You can use this template as a baseline for future tutorials, which will show you how to add hair, new outfits and make the avatar represent a woman.

In this tutorial, you will learn to use the:
- Rectangle tool.
- Oval tool.
- Curve tool.
- Adjust anchor points tool

The curve tool is only available in Illustrator CS6 and up, so you'll have some manually adjustments on the shoulders if you're using CS5.

The two skin tones used for this tutorial are:
White:
#FED0A3
#FCBA7C

Black:
#90552C
#6D3922

In the next week I'll release some more tutorials showing how to edit this shape, so make sure you save your person so you can work on it later.
