Meet India's Social Good EdTech Unicorn - Avanti Fellows - The Heroes of Indian EdTech!

You don't often hear about education technologies being used at scale in government systems to, specifically, narrow the equity divide, which is why I am pleased to invite Akshay Saxena and Vandana Goyal to today's LiveStream.

Akshay & Vandana lead Avanti Fellows, which focuses on enabling young Indians from low-income backgrounds to have equitable access to high quality colleges and professional growth that will transform their life trajectories.

With a great team, for example, they have been running a large system change project in an Indian state called Haryana, where teachers are being provided with technology and content to teach Mathematics and Science in Grade 9-12. In addition to the product, Avanti monitors progress in every single school closely, through a team of program managers and through the assistance of government officials.

As a result of Covid, they also created a new programme that enabled students to access content, assessments, and live sessions from home to ensure continued learning during the pandemic.

Rather than this being a call about earnings, let's focus on their learnings.
